In October 2022, URJA-Energy launched its Community Health Clinic with the support of Dr. Sushil Kumar, a compassionate paediatrician who visits twice a week. The clinic was established to provide accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for children and families in the community.

Our goal goes beyond treating illness — we aim to promote child wellness, preventive care, and regular health check-ups. Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their children not only when they are sick but also for routine health monitoring.

All consultations at the URJA-Energy Health Clinic are completely free, ensuring that every family has access to professional medical care. To support this initiative, URJA also runs an in-house dispensary offering high-quality, affordable medicines.

During the week, Dr. Kumar continues to provide online consultations, assisted by Shama, an URJA staff member. Together, they keep detailed patient health records to help monitor ongoing treatment and long-term well-being. In serious cases, Dr. Kumar personally arranges transportation for patients to his hospital, located about 65 km away.

URJA-Energy is proud to be one of the district’s official vaccination centres, providing immunisations for infants and pregnant women as part of our ongoing community health care program.
